DINOSAURS In celebration of our traveling exhibition, ULTIMATE DINOSAUR, we will explore all things dinosaur. We'll play the dinosaur brain game, bone match and more!

The City's Ocean Monitoring Program booth will have preserved marine invertebrates and fish on display. As well there will be a "fishing game" for children to teach them what is and is not sustainable sea food. We will be running a video loop of our ROV operations and our Benthic Sampling processing at sea. We will have a cable hanging with water sampling bottles attached to demonstrate how samples are collected for h2o quality analysis.

Our booth will be two tents. One is a workshop and the other is a "Walk-in-Painting" (based on a scientific topic) where public art created in our workshop tent, will be added to our interactive installation. This booth will be designed, built and ran by the students of Julian Charter School, San Diego Academy.

Careers in Lab Animal Science

Science based education featuring live birds of prey including Hawks, Falcons, and Owls. Interactive displays exhibiting different features of physiology, biology and conservation.

The San Diego River Park foundation will host a booth highlighting our Cool River Education Program. Displays will include live macroinvertebrates,and information for schools and youth groups to sign up for free environmental science education programs.

Get closer to science! Guests will be able to explore ocean and earth science through conversation and hands-on activities! Join Birch Aquarium to discover some of the amazing things that go on below the surface of the ocean, on the beach, and sometimes in your own backyard.
