STEAM Design Contest
Deadline Extended to January 15
The San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering is inviting students to submit designs for a chance to have their artwork featured on March 1, 2025. This STEAM Design Contest is open to K-12 grade students in San Diego County. The winning students will receive a $150 stipend for their teachers’ classroom, their designs displayed at the Festival with 16K+ attendees, and be invited, along with their families, to the MVP luncheon. Requirements:

Design must be created by K-12 grade students in San Diego County

Hand drawn or digital designs only.

Must not exceed 8 x 11 inches.

Brand logos or words are not allowed.
-
PNG or JPEG format preferred.
Prize:
The top three designs will receive:

$150 stipend for their teacher’s classroom supplies.

Art displayed at the Science Festival with 16K attendees.

Winners and their families invited to the MVP Luncheon which is a private invitation only event.
Timeline:
10/1/24 – 1/15/25: Submit designs via email.

All submissions due 11:59PM PST on 1/15/25
1/17/25: Results will be emailed.
1/20/25: Top three designs announced publicly on social media (@lovestemsd).
3/1/25: Art displayed at the San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering.
