Viasat
Students will build their own game controller using a Makey Makey and conductive materials and use it to play a Minecraft-inspired racing game. Next, students will have the option to use MIT's Scratch drag-and-drop programming language to code their own version of the game.
TechKnowHow
The booth will focus on robotics and engineering with the use of Lego components. Students will use different components and learn how STEM is applied to each lego project that is used. Students will also be able to manipulate different projects with the use of block coding to have the lego build perform different functions. At the the booth, students will be exposed to video game design and the behind the scenes on how games come to life with the use of programming and coding.

We are the world’s #1 summer tech camp for kids and teens ages 6 – 18! At iD Tech, we offer day & overnight summer camps for aspiring programmers, app developers, video game designers, engineers, filmmakers, photographers, and more. Courses are led by tech-savvy, adult-only staff in a fun, energetic and experiential environment. In addition to providing entertaining and age-appropriate activities, our STEM summer camps are loaded with original, real-world curriculum and professional software.

NDIA San Diego Chapter
NDIA Exhibit booth goals are to have students learn about technology needed within DoD from our industry partners and military including Navy Diving Helmets, Robotics, a variety of electronic tools, lights, and lasers. NDIA members talk to the students and parents about careers in STEM and provided helpful information based on their real-world experience. Together we help awaken a greater interest in STEM and STEM education.
