Underwater Coding

Join us with for some coding fun using Scratch, a drag-and-drop visual computer programming language. Learn how to use Scratch and code your own underwater scene, complete with fish and a scuba diver.

This event is part of the Spring Into STEAM program. Spring into STEAM is the San Diego Public Library’s science-focused program series for 9 - 12-year-old students. Workshops take place during the months of March, April and May at all 36 branch libraries across the city.

Elementary Institute of Science Open House

EIS is a non-profit learning center dedicated to offering hands-on experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) for children in grades 2-12.

What: Fun science activities for the whole family!
Visit our classrooms to do experiments with our STEM experts, live animals, and more!

iD Tech Camps

At our booth, we will have flyers, signs, and small give-away materials (stickers etc.). We will also have computers to show promotional videos and some sort of demonstration/ activity (Cosmo robots).

Goldstone Apple Valley Radio Telescope Project

The Goldstone Apple Valley Radio Telescope Project (GAVRT) is a partnership between NASA, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the Lewis Center for Educational Research, a K-12 Charter School in Apple Valley, California. GAVRT trains educators on the basics of radio astronomy, technical topics pertinent to the project’s science observation campaigns, and telescope operations. Once trained, educators schedule time on the radio telescope for their class to collect data on a strong radio source.

Code Ninjas

In our booth, our guests will be able to learn about out what Code Ninjas is all about; a new center where kids ages 7-14 can come to have fun while learning how to code. Our guests will be able to see samples of the curriculum we offer and will be able to see demonstrations of flying coding drones, as well as hands-on robot kits that kids can put together to code with simple commands.
