Our practicing bridge engineers will share their knowledge and passion for structural engineering, which draws on math, physics, design, art, materials, and construction. In addition to illustrative exhibits, we provide an engaging hands-on model bridge building activity that is designed to introduce youth of all ages to basic structural engineering concepts. Bridge model kits are used, consisting of paint-mixing sticks, binder clips, chains, S-hooks, and large bottles of water for load testing.

Did you know that you can write your name, or in this case your initials, using binary coding using the ASCII code that computers read? Computers assign a string of 0’s and 1’s in different combinations and that translates as images or words on a computer screen. For this activity you will pick three colors – one will represent 0, one will represent 1 and the last we will use as a space between letters.
We teach LEGO Engineering summer camps and will be demoing our projects for kids to see what we do. We will have some interactive elements to engage parents and kids walking by.
The BOSEbuild Speaker Cube is a complete kit that lets kids explore the science of sound by making a Bose® Bluetooth® speaker – and using their creativity to personalize it with colors and covers. Using our new BOSEbuild Speaker Cube, our hands-on activity will show you what it takes to make sound and showcase what is at the heart of every speaker.
Experience the new BOSEbuild Speaker Cube and learn what it takes to make sound and music while discovering what is at the heart of every speaker.
