United States Army Recruiting San Diego. Two US Army recruiters will be available at all times with assorted items and brochures for distribution amongst the crowd. STEM related items to discuss and the relation the Army has with developing new technologies.
Students from the Monarch School’s elementary STEAM club along with LPA designers, architects and engineers will lead visitors in a tower building competition that explores the integrated approach to structures through architecture and engineering.
Teams will have several minutes to design and build block towers that will then be seismically tested on a shake table. The team who’s tower stands longest wins!
EcoVivarium Living Museum will offer EXPLORE & DISCOVER MORE opportunities during normal business hours. Special EXPLORE & DISCOVER MORE will allow visitor an up-close study of different museum Ambassadors each day. Each day offers a new and exciting exploration for visitors.
The Center for Ethics in Science & Technology provides community forums to promote science that benefits everyone. Join us on March 6, 2019 with guest lecturer, Stefan Savage, Ph.D., Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. Professor Savage will discuss ethics issues in cypersecurity research.
Sign up for a free hands-on opportunity to learn more about science! During this session, we will do an experiment to help understand how research works, from start to finish. We will also get to explore how new health-related technologies work and how research is involved. You don’t need a background in science or research for this, but please bring any questions you have!
