Welcome to MaxCyte's Expo Day booth—a journey into DNA mastery and CRISPR gene-editing marvels! Witness our machines orchestrating battles against diseases at the cellular level. Engage with our experts, decoding DNA's secrets and manipulating genes. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of science as our tech shapes tomorrow's cures, pioneering the non-viral future of biotech!
The Think Blue activation would showcase SWEEP-E -- the City of San Diego's first 100% electric mini street sweeper -- and give attendees the opportunity to climb behind the wheel. Giveaways would include SWEEP-E stickers and coloring pages/crayons for younger students. Older students with phones will be asked to take an educational stormwater quiz (via a QR code) in order to spin a wheel to win a prize (lunch boxes, dog bags, pet bowls, water bottles, etc.)
To be determined but most likely some chemistry, biology, engineering and computer science demos as well as some other fun activities.
To Be Determined
We will have three interactive displays: Alka Seltzer lava lamp, KidSpark building blocks, and Math24 card game. We will also have physical displays: Pool noodle DNA model (made by Biotech class), Catapult (made by Precalculus classes), and Plant lab display (made by Biotech class).
It takes true community spirit and engagement to build a successful Festival Week and momentum to support ongoing programs. Our mission is to provide meaningful year-round STEAM experiences for youth and adults alike in San Diego, and throughout the state of CA through our virtual platform.
